We were privileged to photograph Breniethia and David’s wedding in beautiful Inman Park United Methodist Church in Atlanta. This one-hundred-eleven year old church is breathtakingly gorgeous, with huge stained glass windows, plaster stucco walls, an amazing wooded ceiling, and sleigh-style curved pews. I am in love with this church!
The bride’s attention to detail showed throughout this elegant wedding. The fresh flowers on each pew (above) matched the flowers she and her bridesmaids carried. Her wedding colors of chocolate brown and melon green were tastefully included in so many details.
The church had beautiful arches throughout, and rich wood doors, trim, and more. We brought the dress out to the curved foyer because we just love this fantastic door! Breniethia’s dress was a beautiful ivory color, with beaded detail, buttons down the back, and gentle shirring in front.
The light these stained glass windows let in is just amazing…
David was handsome in his ivory tuxedo; his groomsmen’s ivory tuxes were accented with subtle melon green ties and vests. The bride’s son, who was also the ring bearer, wore an ivory tux, too, and even managed to keep it clean–a tall order for an active little boy!
Breniethia and David’s wedding ceremony was beautiful as well, and included wonderfully personal aspects. It began with one of the most moving prayers I’ve ever heard, then a reading of the Bible passage David read to Breniethia when he proposed. The bride’s uncle is a pastor, and officiated the wedding. Here, the bride and groom light the unity candle as a family friend sings “Jesus is Love.”
Husband and wife!
Outside the church for a few more photos before heading to their reception at nearby Peachtree Athletic Club.
Thank you, Breniethia and David, for including us in your day!
