Usually, we do Tina and Andrew’s family portraits around the same time each year, February or March, so that they can see how their young family has grown and changed. This year they decided to wait a bit so Tina’s baby belly could be showing a bit. But then, some complications had Tina on modified bed-rest, so we waited in hopes that the bed-rest would only be temporary. A few weeks ago, however, the doctor put Tina in the hospital and that’s where she’ll stay until the baby arrives. So… we did their session in a beautiful garden at the hospital.
As long as Tina keeps her adorable self parked in the wheelchair, Andrew has permission to wheel her anywhere. The kids think mom’s current mode of transportation is pretty fun.
The kids did great, despite temptingly fun and cool fountains bubbling nearby!
Last year, Braedon had a cast on his arm when we did the family’s photos. Tina considered rescheduling until after the cast came off, but then she decided that’s truly what their family looked like at that time of their lives, so we went ahead with the session as planned. This year, Tina has some colorful “bling” adorning her wrists in the form of an IV and hospital ID bracelets. But that’s what’s happening in the family this year, so it’s okay. It’s them. It’s real.
Braedon talks to baby Garrett and pulls up mom’s shirt to give the belly a kiss. So sweet!
And seriously, could a 3-year-old look any more GQ than this?
Kaley looks for this baby everyone keeps saying is in mom’s belly!
I could eat her up!
In addition to already being daddy and working his job, Andrew has really stepped up to do much of what mommy usually does. Way to go, Andrew! The baby is schedule to arrive just a little early, but they still have a couple of weeks to go.
The whole family is so stinkin’ cute, I can’t wait to see what baby Garrett looks like!

Paula and Mark are a delightfully fun, adorable couple! Their wedding will be held at the Marlow House, just off the Marietta Square, so we chose to do their engagement session at the Square, too. Despite sweltering summer temperatures, we all had a blast, and no one melted! ;) Because their marriage will blend their [...]
We hosted our second Beginners’ Photography Workshop on Saturday, and had such a great time with everyone who came out! We like to keep class size small to allow plenty of interaction, hands-on help, and question-and-answer time. Lacy the dog, keeping an eye on things. Note taking. Learning about camera settings. Several times, we took [...]

Our friend Diane was interviewed earlier this week on the local news in Jacksonville, Florida. She is a radiologist, and besides being beautiful and well-spoken, she also happens to be a wonderful doctor who is helping educate women on how to reduce risk factors for breast cancer. You can see Dianne’s interview here: News4Jax.com. You [...]

Had a fabulous opportunity to attend the Atlanta Wedding Professionals luncheon today. Even though we were not the official photographers for the event, I did make a photo and ate a piece of the delectable cake by Sharon at Sweet Sensations. Thank you to Atlanta Bride & Groom Planner and Atlanta Occasions for putting this [...]

As you may already know, our daughter Lindsey is adopted. We have quite a passion for encouraging others who might be considering adoption, and unfortunately it seems the the majority of information on the internet about foster-adoptions or older-child adoptions is negative. I often get emails from those who read my personal blog, with questions [...]
Yesterday, I received an email from Susan, one of our May brides. She shared with me that Craig’s stepfather recently passed on, only about one month after Susan and Craig’s wedding. She said, “the pictures are especially meaningful now… We are so thankful to have been able to spend that special time with all of [...]

Happy Birthday to my gorgeous wife. I love you!
