Meet Lila Jane!

OK, that title is really just a teaser, because I’m saving the photos from our session til after the birth announcements go out. But I had to update the story from the previous post with Nita’s maternity photos, and let you know that it’s a girl, and everyone is safe and sound — and beautiful!

On our way to Nita and Drew’s home, I told Lindsey, “Here are the rules: #1 — you have to wash your hands before you can hold the baby. And #2 — I get to hold her first!” She protested that it wasn’t fair, but I pulled the “I’m the mom and I said so” card, which of course trumps all others. And so, the one photo I’ll share in today’s post is of me holding Lila Jane… (she’s looking so sweetly at me because I just finished telling her all about my plans for tea parties with her when she’s a bit bigger!)
