Ang & Rob: Family Portraits (and two very fast dogs!)

Rob and AngelaWe’ve had the pleasure of doing Angela & Rob’s holiday photos for the past three years now, and it’s always fun. Last year we had them up in a tree, since Rob is an arborist — although in my very un-expert vernacular, I usually say he’s a “tree guy.” This year we kept them out of the trees, but we did include their two adopted greyhounds (former racers) in some of this year’s family photos.

Star was the first dog to join the family. She has such beautiful eyes, and I love those “cow spots” because our Lacy (a greyhound mutt) has them, too. Star is a mama’s girl… smiling greyhound

I’ve heard it said that greyhounds are like potato chips: you can’t have just one!
So Rusty followed soon after. Rusty only raced once because he was clocked at FIVE miles per hour; since racers typically run at speeds closer to 45mph, it was apparent that he did not like racing. When we were at their home, however, Rusty alternated between running full speed or doing his best imitation of a rug. So he does love to run, but only for the joy of it, not for a trophy. That looks like mud on his front leg, but it’s actually just part of his pale brindle markings. Star and Rusty were both adopted through the Southeastern Greyhound Club.Rusty the greyhound

Ian and Sophie are just adorable. Or, I mean, Sophie is adorable and Ian is handsome! I love watching them together because they are best friends and quite protective of each other. And they look so much like mom and dad! Ian and Sophie

Thanks so much, y’all! Can’t wait to see which ones you choose for Christmas cards! :)
