As you may already know, our daughter Lindsey is adopted. We have quite a passion for encouraging others who might be considering adoption, and unfortunately it seems the the majority of information on the internet about foster-adoptions or older-child adoptions is negative. I often get emails from those who read my personal blog, with questions about our adoption, or just thanking me for being a little spot of positive amidst all the negative.
The thing is, I know there are more positive stories out there than negative ones, but it’s the negative ones that get all the publicity. Me and my little blog probably aren’t going to change that, but I’ll do what I can! So I’ve started featuring guest posts, where other bloggers — and those who don’t have blogs of their own — can share their adoption stories. Not a candy-coated version, but overall positive or inspiring stories.

I posted my Adoption Story on my blog last year (there’s a tab on my homepage). My story may be a bit different as I am the birthmother. Interestingly, my daughter is also named Lindsey. Her and her family have been such a blessing to me in these past 18 yrs.
