Have a digital SLR that never leaves “auto” setting, but you just aren’t getting the shots you want? You’re not alone!
Recently, after several requests to do so, we hosted our first Beginner Camera Workshop.
We kept class size small in order to have plenty of interaction and provide hands-on help. Ken started with teaching some basics, and then we brought out the cameras! Everyone took some really rotten shots, but trial and error goes a long way towards learning, and it didn’t take long before they all started to “get” it!
Carol’s shirt says, “Fearless: I’ve got boys.” Love it! She was fearless in conquering those camera settings, too! ;)
Assistant Kathryn decorated the dry-erase board for us…
Missed this workshop?
No worries: We plan to have another beginner’s workshop this summer, so contact us if interested!

If the workshop is not full, I would like to attend. I just talked to Paula and she said she responded to the text message but wasn’t for sure if you received her response. We would like to attend together for the $75.00 fee. However, I am also wondering if I should consider having my daughter (11 yrs) attend or I could share the info. with her after the workshop. We are going to get a DSLR (refurbished) for her too. I would like your thoughts about whether to get her a D40x or a D3000. Also, I would like for her to have an opportunity to use a DSLR camera before we invest in one. Do you know where I could rent a D40 or D3000?
Thanks,
Rhonda
