Today we were called for another “Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep” session. I’ve just started working a little bit on this little guy’s photos, and my heart breaks for his family. I usually only work on these photos a little at a time, because it can be emotionally draining. We do want to get them ready and work on their slideshow so they can have it within a few weeks, though. I have thought about sharing at least a photo or two, so that you can see how beautiful these photos can be, and how they can preserve something wonderful out of something so sad. But it feels just too intimate to share; if the family wants to share, that is for them to do – not us. There are some wonderful examples of these photos on the NILMDTS website, and I encourage you to visit there and see what I mean. And if you are a photographer, we encourage you to consider volunteering your talents to bless hurting families, especially if your area does not yet have anyone who does this. Visit NILMDTS for lots of information, and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us as well. Please also read our previous post about our first session.
